Delfin Amazon Cruises again will sail one of its ships in Peru following a three-month renovation.

The Delfin I will return in April after a full-scale renovation. It will do three- and four-night itineraries.

Delfin co-founder Lissy Urteaga called the renovation "a tribute to the beauty of the Amazon and the communities that make it so special."

The ship's four suites feature private panoramic terraces, including two with whirlpools. The suites have floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the Amazon rainforest and its wildlife. Enhanced features include renovated bathrooms, thirce-daily cabin service and an air-conditioned observation deck.

The top deck will have a newly designed lounge and bar. The ship also will get new solar panels.

The renovation honors the "Amazon's cultural and natural heritage," Delfin Amazon Cruises said. The ship's railings were inspired by the geometric patterns of Shipibo art, while the handwoven ceilings were created by local artists using natural fibers to celebrate the region's traditions.

Delfin I cruises start at $5,000 per person based on double occupancy.
