Sandals Resorts International says it is investing nearly $1 billion in family brand Beaches, doubling Beaches' all-inclusive footprint over the next five years.
Sandals also said it will break ground late this year on the long-anticipated Beaches Barbados. The 600-room resort will have guestroom categories ranging in size from king suites to four-bedroom suites spanning nearly 3,000 square feet with private oceanfront balconies. The resort will feature a "Main Street" lined with dining and shopping outlets as well as "high-energy family zones" with outdoor performance stages, a sports bar and an arcade.
The Beaches Barbados will join sister properties Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados on the island.
Other Beaches projects in progress are the conversion of Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas to the Beaches Exuma as well as construction of the Beaches Runaway Bay in Jamaica. Sandals has not set an opening date for either.
This week, Sandals began taking reservations for the 101-room Treasure Beach Village at the Beaches Turks & Caicos, which will begin welcoming guests on March 1, 2026. Treasure Beach Village will join the resort's Caribbean, Seaside, Key West, Italian and French villages, growing the property's guestroom count to 858.

Sandals shared its Beaches brand updates during its Made of Caribbean event Tuesday at the Hall des Lumieres digital art space in Lower Manhattan. Sandals launched its multimillion-dollar "Made of Caribbean" ad campaign in December.
Caribbean tourism officials, media, travel advisors and celebrities -- including reality TV stars from Real Housewives of New York and The Bachelor/Bachelorette -- gathered at the celebration, sipping Red Stripe beer and beverages served in Sandals-branded coconuts. Dancers in colorful carnival regalia performed throughout the venue as DJ Zuri Marley, granddaughter of reggae legend Bob Marley, filled the space with Caribbean rhythms.
