Hertz is providing vehicles to help get aid to communities affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles and offering evacuees and first responders rental discounts and other offers.

The car rental company is donating pickup trucks to its nonprofit partner, disaster-response organization Team Rubicon, to help distribute aid to those affected by the wildfires. Hertz is also partnering with the American Red Cross to meet that organization's need for vehicles.

Hertz and sister companies Dollar and Thrifty are offering rental discounts of up to 30% off normal rates to Los Angeles residents and waiving fees for one-way rentals. They also are expanding one-way rental options, waiving late return fees and extending rental periods for customers impacted by the fires to support evacuees and emergency responders.

In addition, the company is offering a discount of $350 off vehicles at Hertz Car Sales to assist those who lost their car in a fire.
