Quark Expeditions will charter Atlas Ocean Voyages' World Voyager for three Antarctica seasons beginning in November 2026.
The ship will return to Atlas at the end of each 4.5-month season to sail in Northern Europe and the Arctic before returning to Antarctica and sailing for Quark.
Quark is planning to use the all-suite, all-balcony Voyager to launch a science and discovery program that includes collecting and recording data, seabird surveys, documenting whale sightings, listening to underwater whale sounds and conducting interactive water sampling to measure environmental conditions.
Quark will retrofit the 168-guest Voyager with science and discovery hub exclusively for use by its guests.
Quark currently charters another Atlas ship, the World Explorer, and that ship will enter drydock after the 2025-26 Antarctica season in preparation for delivery to Windstar at the end of 2026. The Voyager will replace the Explorer for Quark.
Select departures of the World Explorer during its last season with Quark will include enhanced camping experiences, offering twice as many guests an opportunity to spend a night under the Antarctic sky.
The line is also offering a new helicopter adventure on the Quark Ultramarine in February 2027 with an opportunity to cross the Antarctic Circle, with a minimum of two flightseeing trips and one heli-landing below the Antarctic Circle included in the price of the expedition.
The line is offering early bookings of up to 15% off plus an exclusive early booking bonus until May 31, 2025.
